Traditionally a Data Historian is used to collect alarm and event data. The emergence of multiple data protocols can make the centralization of all needed data difficult and complex. In addition, customers are now looking to utilize analytical applications like Power BI and Seeq, as the interface to know what is happening within their entire manufacturing process(es).

Utilization of a Data Hub platform provides considerably more integration options than a traditional data historian, and the existing data can be migrated to the new platform to maintain continuity. The data collector provides intelligent connectivity and options for interface redundancy. Clients access the data hub through any of the available Interface Servers. Including: Power BI, Seeq, Azure, AWS, etc..
